Our journey into the world of German Shepherds began in 2022 with Maya AKA Ch TATABEN Maya Graceful Illusion AZ ZAP BSC, our first German Shepherd. Maya’s intelligence, loyalty, and stunning presence earned her the title of Australian Champion, inspiring us to build Mayumbra Shepherds. She embodies everything we love about this incredible breed, setting the foundation for our program and our commitment to excellence.

In 2024, we reached an exciting milestone with the arrival of our first litter. This carefully planned pairing resulted in two exceptional boys, a striking black male and a handsome sable male. These pups reflect our vision: physically impressive, confident, and full of potential. They have grown into all that we envisioned and more, impressing in both the show ring and in training for the sporting world.

Keeping Bane, our sable boy from this inaugural Mayumbra litter, has allowed us to truly demonstrate the versatility and adaptability we breed for. Bane is preparing to compete in IGP, is nearing his Australian Championship title in the conformation ring, and has stepped confidently into the world of scent work, all while coming home each day to be an affectionate, intuitive, and deeply loved member of our family. He is living proof of our philosophy in action: a dog who can work, show, and still be the heart of the household.
