Purpose, Reflection, and the German Shepherd Dog - an eternal debate
The debate around working and show lines has shaped how many people view the German Shepherd Dog today. But beneath the labels and arguments sits the same foundation, a breed originally developed for balance, capability and purpose.
This Dog is not like your last one… so stop comparing them!!!
Your new dog isn’t here to replace the last one. They are here to write a completely different story with you. When we stop comparing and start understanding, we discover the dog we actually have, not the one we expected.
Sixteen Weeks and some Puppy Chaos!
At sixteen weeks the puppies are fully embracing life with social outings, training and plenty of mischief. With Cleo recovering from a broken toe, Kuna making her show ring debut and the teenage months fast approaching, life is anything but quiet.
Training it’s all about the journey!
A trainer cannot build your dog in one hour a week.
The real work happens in the six days in between.
It happens in five minute sessions after breakfast. A quick recall before dinner. A handful of repetitions before bed. Small, consistent moments layered over time.
That is where behaviours are built. That is where clarity forms. That is where your puppy learns that working with you is the best game in the world.
Twelve weeks and then there were two
Twelve weeks after the litter arrived, the once busy house suddenly feels quiet again. Most of the puppies have left for their new homes, leaving just two behind to keep the chaos alive a little longer.
Eleven weeks how time has flown
Eleven weeks feels like the calm after the storm. The house is quieter now, giving a moment to reflect on just how quickly these tiny newborn puppies have grown into confident young dogs.
Ten weeks and second vaccinations
At ten weeks the puppies reach another important milestone with their second vaccinations. With most now settled into their new homes, they are beginning the next stage of exploring the world around them.
Nine weeks and more goodbyes
As the puppies continue leaving for their new homes, the pack slowly begins to shrink. Each goodbye is a reminder that while this chapter is ending, their real adventures are only just beginning.
Eight weeks old - Saying see you soon
Eight weeks marks a big milestone as the puppies begin heading off to their new homes. It is an exciting moment for their families, but always a little bittersweet when the house starts to grow quieter.
Seven Weeks old and new adventures fast approaching

Potato in a blanket - Babies First Baths
First baths come with warm water, calm voices, Mum nearby, and treats absolutely involved. There were a few confused faces at first, but it didn’t take long for the babies to realise this new experience came with one-on-one time, gentle massages, and delicious snackos.
From Puppies to Pros: Why early exposure matters
From tiny ears hearing their very first sounds, to big dogs sleeping soundly through a New Year’s Eve fireworks show… confidence is built long before it’s ever tested. Those early experiences aren’t accidental. Every new noise, every shift in the environment, every moment of curiosity is shaping who our puppies will become. In this post, we take a look at how thoughtful early exposure lays the groundwork for calm, resilient adult dogs, like the ones you’ll see relaxing while the sky lights up around them.
Puppies first New Years
New Year’s Eve may be loud, but it’s also a chance for little minds to learn big lessons. Our puppies experience the fireworks in a positive, controlled way. Exploring, playing, and realising that sudden noises are just a normal part of life. With Maya’s calm presence guiding them, they process, recover, and remain confident. And when the excitement settles, they snuggle back into their whelping box, safe and content. It’s a small moment that helps shape resilient, well-adjusted dogs.
Big Adventures for tiny paws
The babies had their very first big adventure, a car ride to the vet for vaccinations, microchips, and DNA swabs! These early check-ups are such an important step in making sure each puppy is healthy, developing perfectly, and ready for the big wide world. They handled the entire day like absolute little champs and received a glowing report across the board. Proud is an understatement!
