Twelve weeks and then there were two

Twelve weeks ago this house was full of tiny squeaks, milk drunk puppies and the constant shuffle of bedding, scales and cleaning supplies.

Every corner had a puppy in it.

Every day revolved around feeding, cleaning, weighing and watching tiny lives grow stronger.

And now twelve weeks later the house is quiet again.

Most of the puppies have packed their tiny suitcases and headed off to their new homes where families have been waiting patiently for them.

The pack that once filled the yard has slowly shrunk.

And just like that… there were two.

Two puppies still here, still racing around like they own the place and still creating just enough chaos to remind me what the house felt like only a few weeks ago.

It is always a strange moment for a breeder, when the noise fades and the litter you spent months planning, raising and loving suddenly becomes memories and updates arriving from new homes.

But that is also the best part.

Watching them grow into the dogs they were always meant to become.
